This 100% cotton hand batiked bag started out as a 12 foot piece of cloth.  The batik is done with cut out foam designs, similar to potato printing. The wax acts as a resist as the fabric is dyed.  Once the fabric dries another wax design is put on the fabric and the process is repeated. The result is a 12 foot piece of cloth ready to be cleaned of wax and sewn into something, unique. This bag was sewn, quilted, and lined with two zippered pockets.  It has an adjustable strap making it a crossbody or shoulder bag.
