WHAT IS A HUIPIL

This bag was transformed form a recycled huipil, a handwoven and embroidered blouse worn by Guatemalan women.  The huipils are one of a kind as they are village specific embellished by the woman who wore it. When these huipils are ready for a second life, they are hand selected from local markets, washed and redesigned into a sturdy, functional everyday bag or travel companion
